What Happens in a Workshop

Every group starts somewhere different. That’s why we offer two digital literacy workshops, each shaped around the people in the room and what they want to get from their learning experience.

Digital Essentials focuses on practical AI and smartphone skills, helping people build confidence with the tools they use every day, understand useful features, and solve everyday tasks with less frustration.

Digital Possibilities goes further, exploring the surprising, creative, and sometimes unexpected things those same tools can do through hands-on experiments and ideas that encourage curiosity, creativity, and connection.

And that’s where things get interesting.

Participants might use AI to uncover the extraordinary story hiding inside an ordinary object. Their camera might send them searching for something they’ve walked past a hundred times without noticing. A strange taste, mysterious scent, or impossible question might take the workshop somewhere nobody expected.

Then the making and experimenting begins.

People create things, investigate ideas, compare discoveries, and tackle challenges together. Sometimes technology is at the centre of the activity. Sometimes its most interesting job is simply to point people toward something worth noticing, making or experiencing away from the screen.

These aren’t lectures about screen time, and they aren’t tours of the latest apps. They’re chances to use familiar technology in unfamiliar ways, alongside creativity, curiosity, sensory experiences, and real human interaction.

Participants leave with useful new AI and smartphone skills, a better sense of what their technology can actually do, and plenty of ideas for using it in ways that make everyday life more interesting.

Your organization provides a welcoming space and brings together 10 to 12 people. We design and facilitate the entire 60 to 90-minute experience and bring everything needed.
